12/24/2007

It was strength & cardio today. I did strength just after our company christmas breakfast and did cardio shortly after that. It was a fun BOV4. I am actually somewhat sore today. Burnt 3300 cals so far today.

Not sure what I will do today

I hurt my left hand and wrist today so I was unable to do my regular strength routine. Am thinking about doing the turbo sculpt on TJ without weights and see if that's doable with the pain.

Haven't done any cardio just yet either. Hopefully will get it in before the day is done.

Two posts in one day...a record!

I had so much fun with my 20 mins of cardio today, that I had to come back and chat with myself about it. I threw in BOV4, becoming a huge favorite for a serious calorie burn, and invited a couple of employees to join me. We had a blast working it together. I really love sharing Turbo with people. It is such a blast. It's hard to believe how hard you can work when you have fun.

It was a no-exercise day yesterday, except a little walking. Burned about 2550 cals according to my bugg. It's been tough keeping to not eating all the crap that comes through the office. I attempt the moderation theory: if I give in just a little, I won't binge and have a ton. There's not a lot of calories in a bite or two.

Today, as of noon, I've already been to the gym to do my 20 minute all body lift session. For some reason, I am not keeping records of my lifting, which will make it difficult to remember what I've done. Let's see if I can remember.

chest press=17 lb db/11 reps
shoulder lateral lift=15 lb db/9 reps
lat pull=90 lbson machine/11 reps
bicep curls=17 lb db/8 reps
tricep push=30 lb db/11 reps
quad extension=210 lbs machine/11 reps
calf raises=225 lbs machine/12 reps
lying leg curl=70 lbs machine/11 reps

I plan on doing at least 45 minutes of TK BOV4. I am finding that I have to take off at least one day a week from everything, so I try to keep it to a day that is cardio only. My muscles and bones just get too tired and sore with all the effort that it makes it difficult to get up out of bed some days. Maybe I am over training. I don't know.

Yesterday was cardio & strength. Got to do strength in the afternoon during Tuck's nap. Cardio was after everyone was in bed. It was BOV4.

Today was cardio only and I did R25. Kicked my own butt and burned about 600 cals. Very cool. Was not able to meet with my trainer this weekend. We were scheduled for yesterday, but I never heard from him to set up a time. Guess he was busy this weekend or couldn't make it out here on a weekend.

I am tired. Will be going to bed as soon as the laundry is complete.

12/14/2007

Today was cardio only and I did Round 15 for the first time. I previewed it yesteday and it didn't look as well choreographed as what I am accustomed to, so I was prepared to not like it.

I loved it! I felt very uncoordinated because I am so muscle memory on R25 and even BOV4 (since it is so heavy in R25). It was a blast. Will have to venture out and do more new to me rounds. I felt so like I wasn't moving and trying to catch up and keep up. I was amazed when I looked at my bugg...a whopping 400 cals burned in the 45 minutes. Way cool.

Tomorrow is a photo shoot in the AM of two children in SF and meeting with my trainer. Tomorrow is strength and cardio.

Where'd that go?

Hmmm, that is the second time I've lost a days blog. Not cool.

Will try to remember what I said.

Hmmm. Yeah, tired. That's what I am. Stayed out well after my bedtime last night working our last competitive cheer/dance photo shoot. Ugh, then of course, Tuck decided to wake for the day at 5:30. Starting to feel sickish, like some head cold is coming on. That always seems to happen to me when I am getting into the groove of working out.

So, I didn't do cardio today. So shoot me. I seem to take a day off from cardio every week and today was the day to skip it. I just never seemed to have the time or energy to muster it today. There's always tomorrow. I was able to somehow muster the energy for my strength training though I didn't go "all out" and push myself. I just didn't feel up to it.

Going to bed to finally catch some zzzz's. Well, if Tuck stays asleep tonight, maybe I will gather myself a whole paragraph of them...

Oh, yeah, down to 227 as of this AM. Six lbs down since Thanksgiving and an increase of LBM of about 7 lbs, so I guess that means I lost about 13 lbs of fat in about 2 weeks. Way cool.

Exercise 12/11/2007

I did my strength training early in the afternoon, about 1:30ish and my TK R25 @ 9 after I put the kiddos to bed. Another great burn day. As of 10:30, I am at 2770.

Oddly enough, I seem to be burning less calories by about 300 cals a day, no matter what. Is my body getting used to my workouts? Is something wrong with my bugg? You'd think the extra muscle would help me burn MORE cals. I did notice that my milk supply is down after multiple days of pumping over the weekends, perhaps that is the reason for the less burn. Not sure.

Doing okay with eating. Not logging though. I am eating 5 smaller meals, most are 400 cals, although sometimes only 250.

low calorie burn today! Ugh!

We had the major photo shoot for cheer today. I sat last week and barely burnedc a thing. Today, I stood all day...from 9 am through 5 and burned a little more, but not much for my achy feet. At 10:30, calorie burn is at 2260. Yesterday, I burned 3250...a thousand more...

Anyway, I did do my full 55 minutes of TK Round 25 through finesse. Tomorrow is cardio & strength. I will try to do strength before the last weekend cheer shoot. Cardio will again have to wait for the kids to go for bed.

Short cardio, longer strength

I only did 30 mins of cardio today...three sections of TK Round 25. Very fun. Even though it's the one I seem to focus on the most, it's still a blast for me. The better I get at it the more fun it is becuase I spend less time scrambling to get the next move. A lot less frustrating. Though, muscles get used to the same movements, I should really work on some other rounds. I did do BOV4 and that was fun also, but it was heavy in Round 26 & 25, both of which I am fairly familiar with.

Strength training was fun today. I went through my nine exercises with my trainer and got some serious pointers. It's amazing to me how proper technique and form can make everything harder. I bet I am a bit sore tomorrow. Ah, but it's just a turbo day tomorrow. Well, it's about time for bed. All the kids are there, so I guess I should join in the sleep fest.

I've been in an amazingly munchy mood today. Not good. Perhaps it was the stress of the 2.5 hour morning commute (that is usually an hour). Not fun at all.

Feeling a bit crappy today

So, I feel a little worn down today. Was two TKs too much yesterday? Probably! Today was a cardio only day. I did about 30 minutes of TK BOV4 at work. Not sure how much I burned becaue my bodybugg has been strange today. It's been about 20% off for the past two days from the display, so I did the suggested firmware upgrade and it's been worse. I actually lost all my data from this morning and yesterday, which really sucks because I have two turbos in there. Oh, well!

Tomorrow is cardio & strength. Must.get.rest.

Workout Schedule 12/3/07

I've been keeping track of my workouts in a spreadsheet and decided that this is a perfect place to post what I am doing each day for moving. Also, I have an updated BF% (33%) and weight (229).

Today is a strength and cardio day on my BFFM beginner workout program.

Pasting a table from Excel looks like crap. Looks like I need to figure out the html on the table myself. Crap. Wasn't planning on doing that today.

Anyway, I did the following strength training workout:
1. barbell chest press: 40 lbs, 13 reps, 1 set
2. side lateral raise: 12 lbs, 9 reps, 1 set
3. lat pull down: 80 lbs, 12 reps, 1 set
4. cable overhead tricep pull: 40 lbs, 15 reps, 1 set
5. bicep curl: 40 lbs, 6 reps, 1 set
6. leg extension: 70 lbs, 9 reps, 1 set
7. standing calf raises: 135 lbs, 18 reps, 1 set
8. lying leg curl: 70 lbs, 9 reps, 1 set
9. crunches on stability ball: 15 center & 15 on each side

Cardio program will include 40 minutes of Turko Kick Round 25 @ 4:45 PM & 60 minutes of TK BOV4 @ 9 PM
